National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) Rugby Union Website - Welcome

Swansea Medics RFC

Aut viam inveniam aut faciam - I shall find a way or make one

Swansea Medicals RFC is  the rugby team of the Colleges of Human & Health Science and Medicine at Swansea University and Swansea NHS. It is affiliated to both Swansea and District Rugby Union and the University's Athletics Union. Participation is encouraged from staff and students of both departments, as well as local NHS staff. We are an inclusive team and experience is less important than enthusiasm. Fist established in 2001, it has built and built in line with the expansion of the Graduate Entry Course at Swansea.

The club joined the NAMS league (the National Association of Medicals Schools) for the 2009/10 season, reaching the Plate quarter finals in the first two seasons. Swansea Medicals were pooled with Cardiff, Bristol and Peninsula for these first two - they were all formidable opposition and clearly this was the pool of death! This brutal introduction to NAMS rugby has been built on season by season, with the club developing a strong ethos and happily competing in the NAMS rugby.
